With solemn reverence, we commemorate Velda Vuo (Brampton, Ontario), whose life came to an end on December 26, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon T. Williams and Adessa L. Healis. She is survived by: her children, Chantelle, Kerwin and Rehema; her grandchildren, Keyon, Maya, Mikayla, Kaylyn, Kacie and Kaleb; her children, Ted, Michael and Jalieth; her siblings, Marcia, Joan, Cerleen, Stanton, Maureen and Rosalind; her aunt Joyce Williams; and her uncle Ken Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kennedy Road Tabernacle (141 Kennedy Rd. N., Brampton, ON L6V 1X9).

I had the pleasure of getting to know Velda when I was an ECE student doing a placement with Toronto Home Child Care many years ago and our paths crossed again years later when I worked with Velda at THCC.
