He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn; and his parents, James Stoddart and Esther Stoddart. He is survived by: his sons, Stuart Stoddart (Dorothy) of Bracebridge and Peter Stoddart (Mary) of Brampton; his grandchildren, Katelyn Stoddart and James Stoddart (Melissa); and his great grandchildren, Jaxson and Jude.
