She was predeceased by: her parents, Angeline "Annie" Thomson and Basil Thomson; her husband Joe; her siblings, Pansy, Cecil, Merle and Stewart; and her siblings-in-law, Tom, Art, Ray, Sheree and Marylyn.
She is survived by: her son Jodey Derouin (Shannon) of Ottawa; her granddaughter Emily; her siblings, Fern Pettipas (George) of Dartmouth, Joan Pilon of Oswego, N. Y., Sylvia Pellerin of Toronto, Daryl Thomson of Matawatchan, Cheryl De Agazio (Tony) of Newmarket and Keith Thomson of Brampton; and her sisters-in-law, Helene Lavoie-Thomson of Matawatchan and Christine Thomson of Manitoba. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations people would like to make to the Salvation Army's Grace Manor (https://www.gracemanor.ca) where Vi was cared for since moving there in 2018.
