He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gerrit Kastein (Gerry), Johanna Kastein and Jan Kastein; and his parents, Johanna Elizabeth Kastein and Willem Kastein.
He is survived by: his wife Okja Sjoukje Kastein; his stepchildren, Chris Kastein (Lyn), Jennifer Kastein (Mike), Susan Currins, Rob Donker (Debbie), Bill Donker, Cathy Poole (Chris), Pat Turner (Barry) and James Donker (Janice); and his siblings, Lies Kip and Henk Kastein. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and cherished by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6).
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
