He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Burton and Ruby Burton; his sisters, Louise Burton and Sharlene Byrnell; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Byrnell, David Jordan and Allen Husted.

He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his sons, Trevor and Adam (Tisha); and his siblings, Jeannie Jordan and Carolynn Robertson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
