With sadness, we share the passing of Catharina Geertruida Vandenberg (Brantford, Ontario). Catharina, born on July 5, 1935, passed away on October 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kryn VandenBerg; her siblings, John, Carol, Peter, Dorothy, Jim and Elly; and her parents, Cornelis Mantel and Pietertje Mantel.
She is survived by: her children, Case (Wynne), Frank (Marian), Trudy Lalonde (Claude), David (Henderika), Bonita Miedema (Mike), Sheila McKenzie (Andrew) and Stuart (Karen).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Providence Free Reformed Church (269 St George Rd, Brant, ON N0E1N0).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ontario Christian Gleaners, 1550 Morrison Rd, Cambridge, ON N1R 5S2, an organization close to her heart.
