With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Derek Abbott of Brantford, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Merren; his parents, Eileen and Hesekiah; and his sister Doreen. He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Gina), Karin (Dave) and Julie (Dave); his grandchildren, Jessica, Kiersten, Cheryl, Jamie Lee, Jason, Josh and Alec; his siblings, Jean, Johny and Gary; and his sister-in-law Bambi. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
