He was predeceased by: his significant other Jean; and his parents, Oliver and Margaret. He is survived by: his brother Ollie; his sister-in-law Hilda; his daughter-in-law Noelle Richardson; his brother-in-law David Fabbri; his siblings, Beryl Fabbri, Malcolm Richardson (Sandy), Bonnie McAllister (Mark) and Devastated; his children, Jay Richardson and Shari Stubbs (Rory); and his grandchildren, Tobin Kortlandt (Tasha), Peyton Schroeder, Damon Richardson, Brittani Hamilton (Luke) and Ethan Richardson.

Memorial donations are requested to Participation House and the Rotary Club of Brantford.
