He was predeceased by: his father Isaac Abel; his sister Christine Samuel; his parents-in-law, Mintern and Janet Martin; and his nephew Calvin.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Martin Abel; his children, Tonia Teyo Hill, Jasinda Kastowi, Martin Abel and Mike Mkwa Raterennon; his grandchildren, Walker Thomas Hill, Haley, Lyla and Hazel; his mother Joanne Abel; his siblings, Darlene Abel, Lou, Bonnie Abel and Isaac Jr. Abel; his siblings-in-law, Michael, Cynthia Martin, Guy Martin, Diane Martin, Janice and Mike Hill; his nieces and nephews, Cindy, Tracy, Nolenn, Erin, Alex, Rustin, James, Carla, Brittney and Courtney; and his close friend Brock Bomberry.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
