He was predeceased by: his wife Verna Ann Sommer (Long); and his siblings, Metje, Cathy, Murray, Joanne, Harry and Rita.
He is survived by: his stepson Gary; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Kelly and Brandilee; his siblings, Alie, Bill, Hank, Jane, Anne, Ron and Mary; and his caregiver Joanne.
