He was predeceased by: his father Russel; his son Andrew; and his brother Thomas. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Wagner (Hamel); his daughters, Stephanie Wagner of Waterloo, ON and Christine Laverty (David) of Burton, NB; his granddaughter Fiona Laverty; his sister Janice Fink (Richard); his nieces, Jennifer and Hunter Isla; and also Aunt Betty.

Donations in memory of Gary can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada and the Brant County SPCA.
