He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; and his sisters, Betty Paye, Margaret Dyment and Kathleen Bean. He is survived by: his children, Wayne (late Brenda), Dianne Lawn (Tom) and Don; and his grandchildren, Chris, Jamie (Deanna), Michelle (Doug), Kelly (Luke), Shawna (Trevor), Nick (Nicole), Stephanie (Andrea) and Dylan (Alicia). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
