He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Aranyosi and Mary Aranyosi; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Beatrice Lucek. He is survived by: his wife Maida; his children, Tanya Cunningham (Larry) and John Jr. (Sara); his grandchildren, Brooke, Coleton Cunningham and Ella Aranyosi; his pet Brandy; and his caregivers, Physiotherapist Tom, Lifelab and Lynn. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Memorial donations in Johnny's memory to Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Amputee Coalition of Canada, Diabetes Canada or Brantford General Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
