He was predeceased by: his parents, William Zimmerman and Ruth Zimmerman; and his brother Hugh (Lillian). He is survived by: his daughter Melissa (Fabio); his grandson Marcus; his daughter Amber (Mike); his grandson Hunter; and his siblings, William (Henny), Clifford (Lotte), Randall, George (Barbara) and Florence (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
