He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Ross Misener and Edith "Bunts" Foster Slemin; and his aunt Marjorie Bird. He is survived by: his siblings, Wendy (Michael Moran) and John Misener; his nephew Colin Moran; his aunt Mollie Forde; and his cousins, Hope Jaglowitz (Guy) and Anne Woodyatt Lowson (John).

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a future date at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road N. Brantford.

Donations may be made in memory of Michael to Greenbrier Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
