With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Hamstra (Brantford, Ontario), who passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter Hamstra to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey Hamstra; and his siblings, Kathleen Hamstra, Jacob (Grace Hamstra), Gerald (Theresa Hamstra), Jeanette (Ralph Haalstra) and Willie Vandenberg.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry, Wilma Hamstra, Kim, Jan Hamstra, Anita, Jack Hoek, Peter, Jackie Hamstra, Karen, Jeremy Waanders, Mark and Wendy Hamstra; his sisters, Liz White and Annie Thomas (Pete); and his brothers-in-law, Neil, Ricky Pronk and Peter Vandenberg.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McCleister Funeral Home (495 Park Rd N, Brantford, ON N3R7K8). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer Free Reformed Church (253 Weirs Ln, Hamilton, ON L9H5E1).
