He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McCoy and Katie McCoy; his brother Jack McCoy; his brothers-in-law, Mike Shortt, Ralph Arnold, John Page and Richard Barnier; and his stepson Sean.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Amanda, Terri and Shannon; his stepdaughter Joni; his sons-in-law, Bret and James; his stepson Steve; and his sisters, Margaret Shortt, Joyce Arnold Page and Patricia Barnier. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
