He is survived by: his wife Betty Searson-Anderson; his daughter Janet Whitehead (David); his grandchildren, Kathryn Whitehead (Barry Hunnakko) and Brian Whitehead (Ingrid); his siblings, Marlene Nauta (Joseph) and Wayne Anderson (Elaine); and his siblings-in-law, Joan Roberts, Anne Walker, Mary Ethel Douglas and Roy Searson (Debra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
