It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Coates (Brighton, Ontario), who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Les; her parents, Gladys and Russell; and her significant other Don Coates. She is survived by: her children, Tamara (Cory) and Jonathan (Jess); her stepdaughters, Julie (Rick), Sherri (Steve) and Susie (Morgan); her sisters-in-law, Beverley (Jim) and Janice (Jim); her nephew Brandon (Joanna); her niece Ashley (Chris); her grandchildren, Sydney, Skylar, Harris, Tyler, Chad (Trish), Caleb (Jona), Jake (Kendra), Callie, Elizabeth, Russell, Rowan, Michayla and Jaxon; and her great grandchildren, Lucas, Abigail, Oliver, Octavia and Victoria.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church (204 Main St, Brighton, ON K0K1H0). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Donations in Helen's Honour may be made to The Pregnancy and Family Care Centre of Quinte West.
