With sadness, we share the passing of Rick Valyear (Oshawa, Ontario). Rick, born on May 10, 1952, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Rick for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Valyear and Madeline Valyear of Trenton, Ontario.; his wife Linda Valyear; and his brothers, Dave, Rodney, Frank, Wayne, Mark, Tim and Bill.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall (117 Lisgar St, Brighton, ON K0K1H0). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Oshawa Airforce Base Community Hall (1000 Stevenson Rd N, Oshawa, ON L1J5P5).
