He was predeceased by: his son Harry; and his sister Ann Ballyns. He is survived by: his spouse Gail; his children, Shirley Schmidt (Rick), Fenna Zylstra (Bill) and Rita Deines (Brian); and his brothers, Harko, Tjako and Dirk. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren.
