He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Algate and Sylvia Algate (MacDonald); and his siblings, Karen, Carl, David and Marilyn Algate.

He is survived by : his wife Lois Algate (Brewster). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
