He was predeceased by: his father Orval (Bud); his siblings, Linda (George), Brian, Sherry (Dean) and Charlene (Domenic); and his mother-in-law Barbara (Hall).

He is survived by: his wife Michaela; his grandsons, Hudson, Cooper, Felix and Theodore; his mother Rose; his father-in-law John Lovell; his siblings-in-law, Caroline Seyedi and André Lovell; and his pet Patches. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in Darryl's name to the Terry Fox Foundation.
