He was predeceased by: his brother Dylan; and his grandfather Clayton Wallace. He is survived by: his parents, Michelle Wallace (Hugh Farrelly) and Todd Crate; his siblings, Jordan, Kaitlyn and Addyson; and his grandparents, Heather, Oliver Crate, Cathy Dye and Bonnie Farrelly (Al). He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations directed in memory of Dawson to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
