He was predeceased by: his wife Diane; his son Greg Sader; his sister Elsie Grudeski (Arnold); and his parents, Rudolf Sader and Linda Sader.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Carole) and Karyn Thompson (Brad); and his grandchildren, Rebecca Sader, Emily Sader, Madison Thompson and Dillon Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In memory of Don, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Brockville General Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by his family.

“To Don's family we offer our sincerest condolences. John Pyl (Jr), my husband, and I are saddened at Don's passing. We shared the semi-detached bungalow with Don for over 9 years, along with John's tenants before us and John's dad before that. I believe his dad and Don were original owners. Don and Diane regularly looked out at the world from their chairs on the doorstep and were happy to chat with neighbours including ourselves. Don continued to enjoy this after her passing. We will miss him.”
