She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter McGowan and Agnes McGowan (Maski); and her siblings, John, Ike, Frank, Robert, Joe and Theresa.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Sheahan; her children, Pat (Lee), Maureen (Terry Cattani), Michael (Grace), Charles (Rashmi), Rosemary (Gary Pidhirny), Tim (Ann), Terry (Heather) and Sheila (Marc Lefebvre); her grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Devan, Connor, Shannon, Kim, Meagan, Patrick, Daniel, Justin, Tyler, Kyle, Brendan, Bria and Colleen; her sisters, Elaine Furiak and Beverly (John Clark); and her sisters-in-law, Shirley and Elsie McGowan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Monastery of Mount Carmel Society of the Little Flower or Covenant House would be gratefully acknowledged.
