It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Elaine Shanks (Brockville, Ontario), born in Smiths Falls, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 93, on September 24, 2020. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Harvey and Agatha McCredie; her husband John B. Shanks (Jack); and her brothers, Clayton and Caldwell McCredie.

She is survived by : her daughters, Linda Shanks, Jill MacLean (Doug) and Wendy Shanks (Brian Paul); her grandchildren, James, Ben Wong, Clark, MacKenzie Maclean, Morgan and Eliza Paul; her brother-in-law Art Shanks; and her nieces and nephews, Lynne Clinton (McCredie), Gail Lunney (McCredie), James McCredie (Jim), Tim, John, Mark and Rob Shanks.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit would be gratefully acknowledged.
