She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Taylor; her daughter Sheree Grier; her parents, Anthony Simones and Artemise Simones (Hutton); and her siblings, Rosie, Freda, Phylis, Mary, Margaret, Beatrice, Angela, Tom, Buddy and Baby Bub.

She is survived by: her children, James Grier, John Grier (Caroline) and Jennifer Livingstone (Jeff). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In memory of Ethel, donations to the United Counties Maple View Lodge Resident's Music Program or Alzheimer's Society of Lanark, Leeds, Grenville would be appreciated by the family.
