He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Simpson; his son Terry Simpson; his grandson Stephen McConnell; his siblings, Sharlene, Sharon and John; and his parents, Leslie Simpson and Ruth Simpson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Simpson and Brenda McConnell (Jeff); his siblings, Sheila Dickie, Brian Simpson and Wayne Simpson (Jane); and his sisters-in-law, Rita Simpson, Ellen Bechta, Dorothy Bechta, Judy Ross and June Enger.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Brockville & District Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
