She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Bird and Kathryn Bird; and her siblings, Vera, Ivan, Bill, Maisie and Gordon.
She is survived by: her husband Hugh Bates; her daughters, Julie (Joel), Lisa (Kevin) and Shelley (Todd); her grandchildren, Josh (Amanda), Jordan (Michelle), James (Quiauna), Kylie (Dalton), Sarah, Owen and Jenna; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Austin, Rowyn and Maya. She is also survived by her extended family and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (10 Church St, Brockville, ON K6V3X4).
In memory of Gloria, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
