Janet Annette Cousins Obituary

We announce the death of Janet Annette Cousins of Brockville, Ontario, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 78. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Egbert Hofstede and Jantje Hofstede; her brother Joe Hofstede (Anne); and her sister-in-law Trudy Hofstede. She is survived by: her husband Grant Cousins; her children, Katherine Cousins of Brockville, Karen Cousins (Stephen Gilchrist) of Carleton Place and Stephen Cousins (Sharon) of Ottawa; her siblings, Harry Hofstede (Trudy), Sid Hofstede (Janet) and Irene Weening (Adrian); and her granddaughter Brianna Gilchrist (Jared). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Brockville General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
