With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan Byrd (Brockville, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Byrd; her parents, Edmond Lascelle and Eva Lascelle; and her siblings, Mabel, Ramona, Josephine, Edmund, Marion, Marilyn, Donald and Leo.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Byrd (Mindy) of Surrey, BC, Robert Byrd (Shanna) of Coquitlam, BC, Karen Palaisy of Brockville and Miley Raas of Brockville; her grandchildren, Shorey Lea Mandel, Taylor Raas, Michael Raas, Darien Winter and Siobhan Byrd; and her sister Shirley Rice. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
