He was predeceased by: his wife Shan; his parents, Tom Kelso and Marion Kelso; his stepmother Winnifred; and his siblings, Erwin, Melba Francis and Keitha Polite.
He is survived by: his daughter Andrea Kelso of Ottawa; his daughter-in-law Mélanie Pagé; and his grandsons, Derek and Kyle Youngman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Barclay Funeral Home (137 Pearl St E, Brockville, ON K6V1R2). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In John's memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
