He was predeceased by: his wife V. Dawn Cassell; his parents, Captain Robert D. and Luella Cassell (Nee Harper); and his siblings, Junior, Walter, Shirley, Charlie and Betty.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Cassell of Brockville; his grandchildren, Michael, Sean, Matthew, Allison and Tyler; his great grandchild Sophie; and his siblings, Michell Cassell (Deanna), Harry Cassell (Margorie) and Jacqueline Nix.
In memory of John, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or Birch Haven Rescue and Rehabilitation Services would be appreciated by the family.
