He was predeceased by: his son Bobby; his brother George; and his parents, William "Bill" George and Carrie Isabella Cherry. He is survived by: his children, Lesley Byrd (Terry) and Crystal Cherry (James); his grandchildren, Caleigh, Dakota (Skyler), Sophia, Abigail, Ashley, Camille and Brianna; and his siblings, Laura Elliott and Dick Cherry (Gloria). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
