He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cathy Jackson (Norcott); his sons, Joshua of Petawawa and Matthew Jackson of Brockville; his sister Mary Anne Jackson of Carleton Place; and his parents, Glen Jackson and Ina Jackson (Marrs).

In memory of Rick, donations to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario through the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation or Brockville District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
