She was predeceased by: her parents, Berend DeKleine and Jantje DeKleine; her husband Dick Schaafsma; and her siblings, Helen, Dirk and John.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra (Ray), Amy (Dave), Richard (Emily) and Patrick; her grandchildren, Joel, Kaitlyn, Jayson (Jill), Cameron (Hilary), Damon, Brady, Wil and Brindle; her sister Siebie (Robin); and her siblings-in-law, Audrey Vanderwoude (Pete), Bill Juhasz and Bindert Schaafsma. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Lawrence Lodge Activation Therapy will be gratefully acknowledged.
