He was predeceased by : his wife Iris; and his parents, Harold Gardiner and Helen Gardiner. He is survived by : his siblings-in-law, Joan Burns (Bob), Sharon Manley (late Phillip), Gary Helmer (Heather), Ron Helmer (Jean) and Don Helmer (Peggy); his nieces and nephews, Keith, Kim McCrae, Joe, Jim Manley and Roberta Peters; and his friend Jane Mitton.
