He was predeceased by: his wife Wendy Hutt; his son Jason; his parents, Buelah Hutt and Simie Hutt; and his siblings, Ernie, Eric, Jim, Gerry Hutt and Helen McRae.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Hutt and Julie Metcalfe (Darren); and his grandchildren, Tristan, Coleman, Sam and Liam.
