Sharon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lloyd Kirkby and Olive Kirkby. She is survived by : her husband Bill VanderVelde; her sons, Matt Dillabough (Julie) and Mark Dillabough (Darci); her siblings, Judy Roberts (Alan), Bonnie Reid (Reginald), Tab Borden (Darleen) and Jim Kirkby (Marg); her sister-in-law Heather Durant (Matt); and also, Brian Dillabough and Eileen Dillabough. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Open Door Fellowship Church (4457 Rowsome Rd, Brockville, ON K6T1B1).
