John Peter Hotner Obituary

Passed away at his home in Brooklin with family by his side on Wednesday October 29th, 2025 at the age of 79.

Predeceased by his wife Valerie (2016). Much loved Dad of Karen van der Zalm, Terry Hotner and his wife Tammy and pre-deceased by his son Martin. Cherished Grandfather of Colleen (Jeff) , Felicity, Blake (Nichelle), Hayden, Olivia and Kevin, Jonathan. Pre-deceased by his grandson Christopher. Great Papa of Darcy, Alannah, Casey, Isla and Valerie.

Dear brother of Irene (Gary), Jane (Milton), Fred (Sheila), Elaine, Marie (Xavier).

John will fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd N Whitby on Wednesday November 5th from 11:00 am until time of Service in the Barnes Chapel Wednesday at 12:00 Noon.

John will be laid to rest with his wife Valerie at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
