He is survived by : his wife Joyce; his children, Caroline (Ian) of Jong, John Vos (Amy), Anita Nelson (Earl) and Celeste Vos Park (Dave); his grandchildren, Jennifer (James Green), Craig, Lauren, Jonah, Ava, Kyle, Alicia, Ethan and Gwendolyn; his great grandchild Weston; and his siblings, Gerrit Vos (Ant), Pete Vos (Yfke), Gerrie Bogaard (late Cees), Hennie Schonewille (Jan), Jannus Vos (Ria), Jan Vos (Gerda) and Jim Vos (late Nesia).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerard's memory may be made to Wesley United Church "Raise the Roof" fund on the day of the service or by mail.
