He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eddie, Shirley, Paul and Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Hope; his children, Carol Maki, Debbie Schmidt (Brian) and Allan Maki (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Kimberley, Christopher (Tina), Sarah, Michael, Kelly (Matt) and Hailey (Tim); and his sister Sylvia Romanko.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel (210 Ontario St, Burk's Falls, ON P0A1C0). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calendrier Royston Cemetery (592 Royston Rd, Burk's Falls, ON P0A1C0).
