We are sad to announce that, on March 4, 2026, at the age of 98, George Pennie (Burlington, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George G. Pennie and Martha Kalbfleisch; and his grandparents, Emma and Eckhardt Kalbfleisch. He is survived by: his wife Frieda; his children, Rob (Jill), Deborah (John) and Steve (Susan); his grandchildren, Sorel, David, Colin, Marta, Emma, Tim, Addison and Calder; his great grandchildren, Aurora, William, Jack, Noah, Ella, Lincoln, Watson, Isabelle, Bennett (George), Beck, Max, Sloan and George; Frieda and Helen.

“George was one of the finest of men. He did so much for everything he got involved in. One of which was our Condominium Complex of which he was the first president and set us off in the right direction. Also his many years with the Bank of Montreal where he helped many a military service person set up a mortgage which they were serving in Germany after the war. Not to mention a park project in south Burlington and so much more. Rest in peace George you made a difference. Neil & Gale MacLean”
