He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Joan; his sister Fern; his brother-in-law Bob Moffatt; his parents, Martha Shine and Emil Shine; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Deir, Danny Deir and Patricia Deir.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Krajcar (Dean), Elizabeth Larsen and Patrick Shine (Laura) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Elliott, Sarah and Oliver; his brother Bill (Evelyn); and his siblings-in-law, Bill Deir (Jane), Paul Deir (Ellie), Larry Deir and Maureen Deir.
