She was predeceased by: her parents, Phyllis Moss and George Moss; her husband Robert Silmser; her former husband Paul Edmiston; and her son Stephen Edmiston (Barb Kemp).

She is survived by: her sister Barbara Wassiljew; her children, Laurie Edmiston (Andrew Akman) and Julie Sleeman (John); and her stepchildren, Eric Silmser (Kathy) and Susan Klein. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
