He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens Finstad and Molfrid Moën; and his brother-in-law Robert Gerry. He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Mark (Mary) of Oakville, Krista (Vincent), Margot (Eric) of Beaconsfield and Eric (Sophie) of Gatineau; his sister Sonja Townson of Vancouver; his siblings-in-law, Lynn Gerry and David Gerry (Judy) of Thunder Bay; his grandchildren, Silvère (Inna), Lothaire (Ana), Thorvald (Mathilde), Warner (Ciobha), Alexandra (Jordi), Lara (Philippe), Luc, Anaïs and Maélie; and his great grandchildren, Ariane, Alya, Arthur, Ivan and Joséphine.
