John Labenski Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Labenski of Burlington, Ontario, born in Hamilton, Ontario, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Labenski and Amelia Labenski (Prokop); and his brother Walter. He is survived by: his children, David (Carmela Mascitelli), Sharon (Rob Alidina), Jeffrey (Jannine), Christopher (Katherine) and Lisa (Andrew Graul); his grandchildren, Alexandria, Adam, Maeve, Evan, Owen, Avery, Spencer, Cameron and Caleb; and his brother Richard (Lynn). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Smith's Funeral Home - Brant Street (485 Brant St, Burlington, ON L7R2G5). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (196 Kenwood Ave, Burlington, ON L7L4L8).
