He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Pett and Margret Pett; and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Pett (Collins). He is survived by: his wife Mary D. of Stratford, ON.; his children, David Pett, Garry Pett (Kristina) and Jody Lynn Pett; his grandchildren, Jacob Pett (Jaclyn), Heather Roy (Philip), Lydia, Jenelle and Melainie; and his siblings, Doug Pett (Patricia) and Lois Gilbert (Denis).
