He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his child Sydney; his mother Shirley; his mother-in-law Cathie Bruce; his sisters, Shelley Bignold (Guy) and Melissa Thorne (Lee); and his sister-in-law Sandy van Ogtrop (Tom). He is also survived by nephews, as well as his many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honour Leigh's memory to make a donation to a cause that was especially close to his heart.
